What happened

North Carolina beat No. 25 Pittsburgh 21-17 on Saturday at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh.

The Tar Heels (3-2, 1-1 ACC) took their first conference win of the season. Pitt (5-1, 2-1 ACC) lost for the first time. Both the official UNC recap and the box score list the same final.

The late score

Billy Edwards Jr. completed 18 of 26 passes for 249 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions, according to the UNC box score. Those passing numbers also appear in the team's recap.

In the fourth quarter, Edwards threw a 75-yard touchdown pass to Shamar Easter. That catch put Carolina ahead 21-17. The box score and the recap both list that play at 75 yards.

UNC's recap and box score do not agree on the yardage of a few earlier scores, so those numbers are not used here.
