Where the land is
A town notice, carried Oct. 14 by the Chatham Journal, puts the four plans on 1,341 acres now zoned Planned Development District. It lists Parcel ID 7403, in the extraterritorial jurisdiction south of Roberson Creek, north of Charlie Brooks Road, east of Moncure Pittsboro Road and west of Gum Springs Church Road.
Chapelboro's Oct. 20 story on that Monday meeting described the same four sections as about 1,300 acres on the south side of the creek.
What is not settled
Housing counts in meeting coverage do not match. No unit total is published here until the town posts one figure it treats as controlling.
Chapelboro reported a formal vote next month after the two-week comment period. That page does not name a decision date.
Accounts also disagree on whether homes would sit behind gates. That point stays in the unknown list.
This site is not the Town of Pittsboro. Use the town's form, or the voicemail number, by 11:59 p.m. Oct. 27. If someone is in immediate danger, call 911.

Why it matters
These four sections are a large piece of Pittsboro's extra-territorial growth. The comment period is still open. Readers need the town's form, the voicemail number and a clear line between what the town has posted and the housing counts that still do not match.
