Triangle Local Newsroom covers what's happening in Wake County and surrounding counties: public safety, road closures, severe weather, school emergencies, local government decisions and the community news that affects your day.
One editor reports, checks the sources, and writes the corrections. We started as @newcreationsnc on TikTok, sharing quick updates. This website is where those updates get the full story: the confirmed facts, the sources, a timeline of what changed, and corrections when we get something wrong.
Where we cover
We cover Wake County and the counties around it, including Durham, Johnston, Harnett, Chatham and Cumberland. We also report on news from farther out when it affects people here.
How we work
Every story separates what is confirmed, what is alleged or reported, and what is still unknown. We link to our sources, timestamp every update, and publish corrections openly. Read our editorial standards for the details.
Send us a tip
Saw something we should look into? Send a tip. A tip is a lead, not confirmed information: we check it before anything is published.
Support this work
If you want to help us keep reporting, Support Triangle Local has Venmo and Cash App links. A gift is voluntary and does not buy coverage.
