What happened
In Wake County, deputies took two juveniles into custody Thursday after a chase ended in a crash on Wendell Boulevard, and they were still looking for two others that night.
The Wake County Sheriff's Office account, carried by WRAL, said deputies found the vehicle around 2 p.m. on Knightdale Boulevard near Widewaters Parkway. The driver did not stop. The pursuit went onto Interstate 540 and Interstate 87 and ended when that vehicle struck an SUV and a tractor-trailer.
CBS 17 separately reported the same wreck and that deputies were searching for juveniles after it.
Four people left that car and ran, according to WRAL's video page: the driver and three passengers. Deputies caught two of them soon afterward. Those two went to a hospital with minor injuries. The other two had not been found Thursday night.
EMS checked the SUV's driver at the scene, that same WRAL writeup said.
Officials have not released names, ages, or charges. We are not naming the juveniles. A check of the county's news listings Thursday night found no matching sheriff statement posted there.
The video page called the pursued car a reported stolen vehicle. That remains an accusation until a court record or a department posting says otherwise.
What we don't know yet
The four people have not been identified. Investigators have not said who was driving, whether anyone will be charged, how badly the three vehicles were damaged, or whether the two people still sought have been found since Thursday night.
