What happened
In Durham, the city is taking unpainted pumpkins, squash, and jack-o'-lanterns for composting through November.
The posted Pumpkin Drop list sets special collections from 8 a.m. to noon on Nov. 7 and Nov. 14 at The Home Depot lots at 3701 Mt. Moriah Road and 1700 N. Pointe Drive. CBS 17, writing Tuesday, printed those clocks and those two streets, and counted the dates as four pop-up events under Environmental and Street Services.
The city says it will take only items with no paint, and it asks people to pull off candles, glitter, googly eyes, and other trim. CBS 17 wrote that crews will load the gourds onto trucks. That loading line is not on the Durham page we read.
Paying yard-waste customers, the city wrote, may set pumpkins in their carts this month for the usual pickup day. The station independently described brown carts for subscribers. Durham's own notice does not use "brown."
Two food-waste stations, at the City Hall dock and at Southern Boundaries Park, are listed as open all day if a person has the free CompostHere app. The Waste Disposal and Recycling Center at 2115 E. Club Boulevard takes them in regular hours. CBS 17 mentioned free stations and a no-charge recycling-center drop without those two park-and-hall sites, the app, or that street number.
The station alone set an 8 to 10 a.m. interview window Nov. 7 at the north-side Home Depot with Casey Harris-Pratt, the assistant director for solid waste operations, and Super Can, the department mascot.

What we don't know yet
The recycling-center listing does not print opening hours on the Pumpkin Drop notice. The city and CBS 17 both print 3701 for the Mt. Moriah lot.

Why it matters
People who still have jack-o'-lanterns need the city clocks, the two Home Depot lots the city and CBS 17 both printed, and the extra drop sites that appear only on the city page.
